The launch of the clean and vegan Youth Biotics Lotus Probiotic Concentrate marks the first extension of The Pure Lotus’ skincare line since its first arrival in the Singapore skincare scene back in 2019. Our B.Cult(ure) members were the first to test it out and this is what they had to say.
At the heart of the Jeju skincare brand, The Pure Lotus, is its focus on a single ingredient, the White Lotus Flower. Hand harvested from the grounds of a 800 year old temple, the White Lotus, unlike the decorative Red Lotus, has been used for millennia in traditional medicine and skin care preparations.
Rich in Iron, Vitamin C, Kalium and Tannin amongst others, the White Lotus is already a great source of antioxidants but this is further enhanced in the Youth Biotics Concentrate through a 168-hour fermentation process. The patented process not only enhances its antioxidant effects but imbues it with 8 types of probiotics to help strengthen your skin’s biome that protects against irritants, bacteria and all kinds of skin nasties!
The Youth Biotics Concentrate also features The Pure Lotus’ signature Jeju Botanical Complex - a blend of 8 botanical extracts exclusively harvested from Jeju Island where the volcanic rich soil intensifies the potency of the active ingredients used. Dermatologically tested, this fermented essence has potent anti-ageing and anti-inflammatory properties and is ideal for all skin types including sensitive skin.
But don’t just take our word for it! We asked some of our B.Cult(ure) members for their reviews on The Pure Lotus’ Youth Biotic Lotus Probiotic Concentrate and here’s what they had to say!

I always had a hard time finding essences that are light, hydrating and soothing to my ultra-sensitive skin without ending up sticky or oily. And when I was introduced to the Youth Biotic Lotus Probiotic Concentrate, I fell in love! I enjoy the texture of this lightweight essence that packs a punch, leaving my skin looking and feeling soft and glowy. I do believe the price point is a little steep but the bottle is of a decent size and the formulation deserves five stars for what it is: a non sensitising, soothing and clean product. I would definitely be repurchasing once I am through with my bottle.

What I love is that it is pumped with probiotics to give you all that hydration. I’m a personal fan of probiotics and take them as supplements as well — being a healthy bacteria, I’m surprised that it can also be used for the skin so it was definitely exciting to have the Youth Biotics Lotus Probiotic Concentrate as part of my skincare routine. Despite being a concentrated formula with unique and complex ingredients, the moisturiser is soft, supple and absorbs into the skin quickly. The feeling on my skin is always light and moist!

I adore the Youth Biotic Lotus Probiotic Concentrate. I have always been a fan of the skincare from The Pure Lotus as it works really well with my sensitive skin and was really excited when they launched their newest product early this year. The serum smells deliciously natural, is lightweight yet deeply nourishing, and works wonders for my sensitive skin. It has a creamy texture that glides on smoothly and gets absorbed into my skin nicely, plus it plays well with other products too. The scent is unique but I love it and the fact that it isn’t a strong fragrance plays nicely for my sensitive skin.
Overall, I absolutely love this line, and especially this essence, for my ever sensitive and very temperamental skin!

Absolutely love the skincare series from The Pure Lotus! It is the perfect moisturising skincare range that helps to hydrate my skin well and restore my skin’s moisture balance especially after a long day! Part of The Pure Lotus range is the Youth Biotic Lotus Probiotic Concentrate which I love to apply in the morning to achieve that natural glow prior to my makeup routine! What I particularly like about their range is their unique scent due to its hero ingredient, the White Lotus Flower, that’s natural but not overpowering!
